Can anyone help me out?
Is it possible to use the mouseover effect in the following way:
- when the mouse is placed over the mouseover-element to have a
larger picture show.

And how do you do it?

The answer is Yes.. There several ways..

1. You can use a script that calls an object if the mouse is pointed over another object.. try this: http://adsenseproject.com/
Notice how in the bottom half of the page when you point the mouse over the menu items to the left, images and text will change to correspond..

2. Some photo glallaries would allow you to do that.. Google for photo gallary software and I'm sure you find it.. here's an example of what you want in this page: http://www.jupiterimages.com/searchResultsji.aspx
Obviously, this site is using some flash type photo gallary.

Let me know the fix you chose.
