    adding a calendar

I want to add a calendar to my raynordescendents site. It will be a family site, intended to reconnect cousins, etc who have lost touch over the years. I want to have a calander to post birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
I found the one in the Fantastico place, but it says it says "we don't have anything to do with the calander support forum" .
However, I am not real sure if I read it right.
I did install it, but I am not sure if I did it right, and have no idea how to get to it, or make it available...
Anybody have any ideas? I am not married to this particular calendar if there is a simple solution somewhere..

    All comments welcome..

          Re: adding a calendar

Hi, Just been playing with the Google calendar. Its not bad. once you set it up, you can get a html code and put it on your site as part of a page. Just put a seach in for Google calendar.
You can also set it up for others to post messages?? (Plus it's free)

          Good luck.

          Chris.

Thanks Chris, will have a look.
I am doing the same sort of thing with one from localendar, free also. But, the part where others can post may cost, don't know yet. I may just use this until I find out how the site goes. It is a family site, and I am not sure how many of my family are going to play along.. everybody says they are interested, but time will tell ....
anyway, thanks for the google calendar tip. Will look and see, might be an easier thing to use.

              Re: adding a calendar

Good Girl Liz .... when you have all the wrinkles ironed out on which one is the best, please remember to let me know and I'll take your advice, one that is smaller and can just be added to a page is what I am eventually looking for.

Chris, does this one from Google sounds like the size might be right, do you know off the top of your head?

                Re: adding a calendar

                Hi LadyEye,
The Google one seems a lot more flexible with sizing. The 1st one you suggested is great. But I kept getting a popup saying OOHPS we cant connect you at the moment to our sever??? (strange)
But the sizing of Google is like below via check & choose boxes & then gives you a html code to place in BV. I think it’s the same with all software? There is always something in one that the other lacks. (Oh well)

                Good luck all.

                Chris.
PS. The other thing i found with Google is that its a lot faster??
