How create boxes with Javascript?

Hi - I would like to create boxes with Javascript so that multiple entries on my page (eg 10-20) look consistent. Here is an example of a website that has a similar box look: http://classesusa.com/featuredschool..._associate.cap

Can I create this look through BV using javascript? If so, how? Or can you recommend where I can learn?
