Having a problem with .gif image

    Hello again guys and gurls.
    Happy New year to all

I'm having a problem with a .gif image i'm trying to add to a page. when the page is published I get a box where the image is supposed to be and a red X inside the box. any help with where i'm going wrong would be greatly apreiciated.
!!! just had a thought do I need to ftp the gif into my public html folder?
    many thanks

Hi, no to your final thought ....

try changing the name of the image ... this usually helps ... and re-insert and publish again ... keep the name small and simple if you can ...
