Help with multiple backgrounds

Hi, I have one colour as the background for thee whole site when i centre it. How do I chose two different background colours? I mean one for the site and one for both the sides..

add a rectangular shape for the center of your site (where your actual writing etc will be) make it any color you want - be sure to drag it to fit close to the upper left hand corner and then be sure to check "center in browser" your page background - both sides will be one color and the center will be the color you chose for the shape
