Updating pdf's

I added some pdf pages to my site a little while ago - whenever I try to update them, through the FTP manager in BV, the changes do not register, even though the new pdf's are named exactly the same as the old ones. I have even deleted the origional pdf's from the public html file in the File manager but to no effect?

I had this problem - try deleting all of your cookies and temp internet pages as you could just be viewing a cached page
