I deleted a spam message...and this is what is left:

How do I get rid of this?


Also, How do spammers find my site? Is there another way beside blocking them to get them off my site?

1) Which guest book are you using.
2) How EXACTLY did you delete the spammer.

I am using the BlueVoda Guestbook (./guestbookdb.php)

I deleted it the same way I delete all the other spammers...I logged on..found the ip address and blocked it..then clicked delete. This has always worked in the past...

Please help.

Pleas understand Spammers are part of the internet, you can not get rid of them, you block 10 and 10 more show up, we delete over 100 spam posts per day from this forum.

It is a constant battle.

Hi Not sure how to delete what you have going on there ... but yes, spammers are annoying and it does make you feel pretty bad when they crawl into your nice guestbook ...

You might consider using the viper edition of the guestbook, it can be found in your control panel under fantastico. It has a feature that will email you to let you know you have a new entry, you can also use the feature "Approve Posting" so spammers cannot enter things in your guestbook - you will receive an email which you will then log into your control panel and choose to delete and ban this spammer - it never hits your guestbook ...

If you did do that and are worried about your current entries, just copy and paste them into a word document, and add them manually after you set up your new guestbook ... just a few thoughts for you ...
