Rollover image

Can anyone tell me how to correctly make my images into rollover images? Thus far I have been unsuccessful. I have tried and failed several times. If anyone knows what to do and doesn't mind giving me a list of instruction on DIY I would really be appreciative.

They roll over automatically when the page is published.
