I have placed a media player on my page and then linked it to an mp3 on my PC. When I preview the page, the MediaPlayer doesn't appear.

You will need to allow the active x notice (security) that you receive at the top of your screen for the media player to appear ... you should be hearing a little bleep as well ..

Was it a flash media player, quicktime media player, or windows media player?

If it were a Flash Player, upload the Javascript File, the Flash file, the HTML code file, and the mp3's.
