what is a fast video codec, best to use in voda
to performe a movie on the website?
mpeg? how do I put it on the site?
It is not recommended to stream with mpeg. I use flash 8 to stream all my video with. If you go to my site, you'll see I stream hundreds of videos off the bluevoda servers using .flv (flash live video). The great thing about flash is you can compress it way down to 190 kbps at 32k mono and still get great picture quality. Everything on my site is at that setting and streams over low end broadband as well, while still maintaining good quality.
I highly recommend streaming with flash 8. It's the best way to go to avoid tons of possible issues that could happen if using other formats, mostly due to end user connection speeds and browser compatability.

If you don't want to spend 800 for the adobe suite and flash 8, you can get the flash 8 codec at www.on2.com and pick up the flix 8 standard encoder for $39.
Here is the direct link (non-affiliate link) to the order page.
For mac and windows.
It has the vp6 codec that will do flash 8 and has all the customizeable features you'll need like resizing, audio and video specs. If you need any assistance, just send me an email or message.
Thanks,
Scott Lundergan
