    uploading text files "note pad"

How can I add a file from a program like word or notepad to my site for people to click on and open?

Turn them into a pdf - then upload the pdf to your cp - and give the url to it. There are free programs out there to turn your pages into a pdf file if you need them.

You don't have to make them into pdf... its just not everyone can open a word file (especially ones with images in them) unless they have word or open office or a program of the like...

Anyway, to actually get them onto your website, use either the file manager in cPanel or a ftp program to upload the file.

Right - I used pdf because that is the norm. And anyone can freely download to open pdf files. And today - word has more versions - and a file saved in one won't even necessarily open correctly in the older versions.
