Adding Java Script to an order form

Need Help Adding Java Script...I have 3 edit boxes on a simple order form and they need to be sum totalled into a 4th and final box (being the total $costs box) Can someone please give me the Java script to copy to produce this result? Or at least explain how to accomplish this. Please excuse my lack of expertise, as I am very inexperienced in this particular area with regards to writing Java script. Thanks!
