Playing music across browers

I want to add background music to my site. The music plays in internet Explorer but not in Firefox. Why is that?

I placed it in Quicktime and it plays in both browsers.
The problem is.. I hid it just fine in Firefox but it shows up as a very ugly box in internet explorer.

How can I enable my viewers to have the same experienceon either brower?

I figured it out myself....at least one way. Maybe it can help someone else.

I simply made a movie with windows movie maker that consisted of only the music file.

I used the Windows Media box on the site builder and checked the hide box. It plays on both browsers and is hidden on both.

Still interested in knowing why the music doesn't play on Foxfire.
