Pictures have a black background when published

I resized my photos in PIXresizer and added a stencil border. When I publish my page, two of the pictures show up with a black background outside of the stencil (showing the outside of the original picture as if it was still square without a border). I have changed the background and border to white in the Properties section.

And I also have lines going through my photos when they are published.

This can happen with .gif and .png. They have losless or transparent backgrounds/layers and need to be EXPORTED rather than just saved to maintain transparency.

Not positive.. but this sounds like what happened.

I dont see any black backgrounds. Clear your cache. And check to see if you are using firefox.. update it .. that could be the issue.

Thanks so much! I am not using Firefox and when I cleared my cache, I still show the black boxes when I publish my page.

My website looks great until I allow the ActiveX controls to be used. Is this my problem? Should I not worry about people using ActiveX and seeing the black boxes (since you can't see them).

I dont get an Active X message. You should be only getting that in preview mode.. not the live site. It always shows in the preview.
