    Problem with text area

    Hi there

When I insert a 'text box' into my website (to fit a large amount of text on the screen so that it scrolls down) and publish it, I (and therefore other users) can edit the text on the screen (i.e. can insert words, spaces etc.)
even though I 'locked' everything before publishing!

Can't seem to get round this. Is this a BlueVoda software gliche? The older Bluevoda version never used to bring this problem up as far as I can remember!

    Please see: www.darrenparry.com/biog.html

    Anyone help?

    Many thanks

    Darren

    Re: Problem with text area

The text area is only locally modified, meaning that the user is modifying it on his screen, not on your website, so the original content remains.

However, it is quite possible to make it non editable:

Right click the Text area, and select HTML. In the dialog box, select "Inside Tag" and then type in the lower window: readonly

    That's all.
