    video files?

    Hi guys,

I´m trying to add some video clips to a new site I´m working on:

I´ve tried using the button for adding a windows media player window, with no luck.

The file extension i have on the end of my movie clip is .avi

This seems to be a problem, as when i try to preview it, my browser wants to download a plugin to view it, but then can´t find a suitable plugin.

I thought nearly everyone has windows media player, so thought it would be the best thing to use...

I was also wondering about file size, i mean a 10 second clip is 18 megs, will this not be too big for web use? Also when i try and publish the page, blue voda just freezes up and stops responding as I think the file is just too big...

Do i need to convert to a flash file and use flash or something?

Any pointers would be really great,

    Many thanks,

    G

    Re: video files?

Converting to flash and using a flash player would be the better option as 98% of viewers can view flash.
