i made a comment box and i was wondering where i can place a maximum number of sentences in order to stop spammers from making me go insane

i got another problem how come my form when i type in the everything and made action.php page and tryed to submit and got this error (Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/xvfxhpx/public_html/action.php on line 25) please help
