Hi everyone!
I wanted to ask to see if someone could help me install a guestbook.
I've opened it and customized it already and saved it as a .php -
Now do I just upload it the regular way or
Do I open blueFTP and just drag it to the right???
I've gone to see the tuturial but I didn't get the bottom text.
Tuturial: http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/blu...uest-book.html
Bottom text: This is the part I didn't get!
1. Upload 'guestbookdb.php' on your server using BlueFTP.
So do I save it as this name or can I save it in another name but with the .php?
2. Change the permissions of 'guestbookdb.php' to 777 otherwise you won't be able to write data. Where do I find the permissions??? - Found it!
You can use the FTP Manager add-on (BlueFTP) to upload and change permissions of the 'guestbookdb.php' file.
a) Login to the FTP server of your website using the BlueFTP.
Ok.
b) Browse to the folder where you've published the guestbook.
Ok.
c) Upload 'guestbookdb.php'
Does this mean to just drag it to the right side (remote?)
d) Select the file and use Properties to set the permissions to 777
Found it.
You only have to do this once.
That's pretty much it!
Thank you ahead of time
Frank
