    Need a customised 401 page

Hi I'm trying to create a customised 401 page to handle the problem when people try to get into a password protected directory without having the correct password.

Has anyone out there made one or can someone help me please?

I've adapted the .htaccess file in the protected directory in numerous ways but no matter what I do the request for user name and password keeps coming up when you try to cancel it or use the close button. It is only after hitting the cancel button 7 times that this request for details to be put in closes and then the customised page comes up without any of the pictures. What I do find strange is that the customised page's address is the same as if the user was on the page they were trying to reach.

I'm pulling my hair out now - going to be bald soon :) so hope someone can help me before I have to lay out for a wig.

It shouldnt be the same.. it should be a different page. They should get a login page or the error page, not the page they are trying to access.

      further clarification per original post

Probably the best way to describe the problem I'm having is to give you a link through.
Fingers crossed someone can help me with this...

ok.. all i see is that you have doubled your http in your link?

        http://http://

You need to delete one of them

          Hi Karen

Here's a proper link to the example page that I am having problems with.

I'm seeing the error page without images.
If this is the only issue (images missing) simply change the image to absolute URLs (they are published now, so simply provide the full URL in the BV image field)

Thanks Navel for the info about the absolute url's. However, there is also the issue of having to hit the cancel button numerous times before you are able to access the page. Any ideas on that one?
