background color issues w/menu buttons

I chose to use the oval type button for my menus and have a black background on my site.... there is a white ugly border on either side of the buttons which I would like to disappear.... how do I do this?

not sure what you mean by oval type button? can you send us a link so we can see it?

You would need to edit this button and make the background transparent so that it would work on any background.
