help with Guestbook

I just don't get it.

I publish a page guestbookdb.php that was blank and another page called guestbook.php. I wanted to put it on my welcome page?

It come up blank

Tried to do this before but I just gave up.
I did watch the video too.
Can someone explain it to me?

I got it to come up but down at that bottom it say

Warning: date() expects parameter 2 to be long, string given in /home/rpghvlk/public_html/eazyermoney.com/guestbook.php on line 223

YOu have to name them DIFFERENTLY. Do a search on the forum for guestbook post.. i think someone just had the same issue.
