mouse over image, but want image to appear elsewhere

Hi,
I am trying to set up a mouse over where people can see a product in a variety of colours. I want to be able to put the colour's in a block of squares, each square being a different colour. Next to that I want an image window so that when you roll over a square, the product shows up in that window in the specified colour.
What would be the best way to achieve this?
