Online chatting

Hi guys,
Was looking for 'online chatting' in the forum but could not find it, and that's why I've started a new thread (sorry).
I would like to have a 'online chatting' facility in my site. Some of them also offer monitoring, stats,etc...

Here is a link so you know what I'm talking about:

My questions:
- is it worth it?
- is the site going to take extra time to load?
- would it really increase the business? (once you 'catch' people visiting the site and you try to start a conversation?)

Would appreciate your comments.

Is it worth it? Who is going to answer the online chat? What hours will it be available? Will the person/people who are going to answer it have the answers readily available?

You need to ask yourself those questions first - at the very least - as well as probably dozens of other similar questions. If you can provide this support well and good, it could be helpful. If you can't, you'll probably hurt the site more than help it. When I go to online chat on a site, I expect them to be there and to answer my questions on the spot. And to be available many hours of the day, not just sporadically. And I hate seeing "online chat not currently available" and nothing saying hours it would be - especially during the middle of the business day.

Well, no one knows more about the business than me...
And sometimes I'm driving (running my tours as a driver/guide) and people wouldn't get the answers for their questions at once. And the last thing I want is an unhappy (potencial) client!
