editing images before placing them in BV

does anyone out ther know how to delete the background of an image to be able to place into BV so that you only see the image alone and not the square white background? ... in other words i created an image in my regular paint program in my computer, then i save it, then place it in to my BV page it appears with the white background that was saved in my local PC pictures folder...

    i hope im explaining myself...

    thanks

When you open a new blank page in your photo editor, ensure you select transparent as the background and not color.

For photos already with a color background, use the background eraser.

Paint.net is a good & easy freebie for this type of image work.

You must erase the background using a tool/editor that has that function included ... the earlier suggestion to use www.Paint.net is a good one.
Others include PaintShop, PaintShopPro, PhotoShop, etc.

However, once you remove the background, you will need to SAVE the new image as a PNG image, and not as a GIF.
