    Things different in browser!

The page looks great when I'm building it, I have carefully arranged the elements. But when I open the browser (IE)to preview, stuff is moved and is different sizes. Specifically a photo which overlaps text, text of different size than chosen, and big spaces between elements that shouldn't be there! I am building a new site for a client and need help!!

Have you added any outside scripts to the page & is there a published sample.

        Re: Things different in browser!

I'm not using anything outside of BV. I found the same thing when building my other site www.louisemack.com but repeated moving and resizing stuff, and constant checking of every change in preview I could over time get the page looking okay in the browser (doesn't look right on macs however), although in BV things were overlapping and the fonts are not the same size.
I should mention that this is a different computer, and the newer version of BV that I'm using now.
An example is if you scroll down my page to the 'twins with many looks' part, in BV the photos overlap the paragraph above, and the text at right is larger and centered differently.
Is it something in page properties?

Sorry but if we can't see what you see, we can't help you.

Pls take a screenshot of your BV workspace of the problematic page, so we can have a look and advise.

I have what may be a similar problem: I inserted an affiliate link into an html box and it looks fine in preview. However, when I publish it's just a bunch of script instead of the banner.

                  Re: Things different in browser!

AHA! I sorted it out ... changed the page property from php to html and published ALL pages instead of just the changed ones. Ta dahhh! I'm in business!

Maybe Lmack should check out her page properties as well?

Page properties are set to html. Centered, with arial font, as simple as it could possibly be. But still stuff moves.
okay now, how do i do a screenshot?

Hi again. Have you sorted this out yet? I found that if I right clicked on each picture or element then clicked on "lock" the element then stayed exactly where I put it. When you want to move it again just right click and "unlock".
