Re: My images wont show
Hello apctech
It's difficult to give you a direct answer because you do not give enough details. The reason I say this is because there are several major functions that must be followed exactly or your images will not show.
Image size does not matter, but the bigger they are the slower your page load may be. What counts is location location location.
Your BV Builder should be in:
C:\Documents and Settings\Webmaster\My Documents\BlueVoda
Your images that you will use on your website should be in:
C:\Documents and Settings\Webmaster\My Documents\BlueVoda\Images
Note: You will lose visual of these images if you move them! Your public/html folder reads from your bv file location.
For example:
Open up your FTP and log in. In your FTP window, you will have a left and right side.
At the top of the left side you will see an address. It should read:
C:\Documents and Settings\Webmaster\My Documents\BlueVoda
At the top of the right side you should see an address that should read:
FTP://xxx.xx.xxx.xxx/public_html (the x's being your personal address you purchased through BV).
apctech, what this means is that your images must be in your Blue VOda directory on your hard drive, because your FTP://xxx.xx.xxx.xxx/public_html will only get its info from there.
So, if your images are on your desktop, you will be able to see them in your BV builder and preview, and they will even load into your image folder automatically, but they are only "echos" of the original images on your desktop. You need the original images in the BV directory.
Also you may have moved them from the original place when you did a bit of cleanup, and moving the image after it has been assigned is a no-no.
Good luck.
John

Re: My images wont show
Hello everyone!
I work with multiple computers. One i have at home and when I travell I take the other ones with me. Problem is I saved all my Bluevoda documents into a travelling drive and when I open the documents in different comuter from the USB drive, the bluevoda documents open, but not the pictures. Needless to say, that drives me crazy. My question is, how can I work in different computers and still use bluevoda?

Q. Are your PC's using the same OS? XP, Vista & Win & have different folder routes.
Everytime BV is installed a Blue Voda folder is automatically created in your Document folder.
So you will need to transfer the content of your USB Pen Drive to the BlueVoda Folder in your laptop.
Open Blue Voda in your laptop and goto "Tools">Folders.
Under Documents you can browse for your
C:\My Document\BlueVoda..........folder
Under Backups you can set the route of the placement for your backup files.www.siapamoyanganda.com/

Answer: Realtime!
The only way to do this and NOT lose everything; is to install on one of your computers, a virtual drive that allows you to access your mother computer and operate your BV Builder from a satellite computer. It's basically a virtual window in your travel pc that is your desktop at home. You can click and drag items from your travel pc into your virtual window and it is immediately transferred to your home desktop.
You cannot use two or more computers, and alternate back and forth with changes, because each change from opposing (and they are opposing each other) will void the changes from the other computer. It's kinda like a puppy being called by two people and not knowing which one to go to. Opposition = Confusion!
So, choose one computer to be your mother computer (Home?). Any other computer will be a satellite computer, and you will have to install a WORKGROUP, a virtual desktop program (Virtual PC, VMware) and another program to communicate over the Internet; such as LogMeIn.
All changes should be made at that mother computer's keyboard, or all changes should be made through a virtual window. Otherwise, it's like trying to have your cake, and...
IMHO if you are as busy as you say, and this is as critical as you say, then it is worth the time and expense to have a certified and licensed techie install these on your travel pc.
My very best wishes to you, superwoman.

Re: My images wont show
Only as an alternative!
I upload all my images to the images folder & then use a code similar to the one below in a html box. But this will only be easy if your site is not heavy with images.
<img src="http://www.barnetwalks.co.uk/images/...lking-boot.png" alt="Walking boots" align="top" border="0" style="width:60px;height:50px;">

Re: My images wont show
The simplest solution:
1. When creating a website, save all your assets (images, videos, flash etc) in a folder WITHIN your own BlueVoda folder.
2. To transfer to another computer, copy the ENTIRE BlueVoda Folder
3. When, on the other computer, the images won't appear inside BV, go in Tools, Assets Manager. The assets used in the opened page appear. Select All and click on Update, then select the path to the assets folder. BV will automatically update all images in that page.
Alternatively: Upload all original images on the site, in a dedicated folder (example: my_images).
When creating your pages, give as image path, within BV, the absolute URL of the image (http://www.yoursite.com/my_images/imagename.gif)Navaldesign
