Adding Download for nth Time

I know this question has been asked for so many times already... but I haven't seen yet an answer for this:

How do I add a download to my site, but before they can download a file, they should fill up a registration form.

All I saw refers to .pdf files only, in my site, there are other files to download such as .doc files, excel files, etc. (no mp3)

I don't need a shopping cart script or whatever since my site is just an informative site where anyone can download a file for free after registering. I just need a way to do this in BV. Thank you.

One way is to set up an email form with the success page having the download link on it. The link should lead them to a zip folder that you have created & uploaded to your server with the downloadable files in.
IE: mysite.com/downloadable-files/zip1.zip
