Adding a Blog as a Sub-Domain

My Name is Philip Eide: My url is www.benefitplace.biz! Is it possible to move my Blog that I created with BlogSpot - http://benefitplace.blogspot.com to a sub-domain. I was told that Google only credits rankings to the parent site if it is a sub-domain. Otherwise, Blogspot or Wordpress gets the credit! Thanks for Your Input!
