how to make a footer image move down page when my html code is displayed?

Hello people wasnt sure if i posted this in right section but here goes, ive been playing with bluevoda for a week or so built a page with header image and footer image..used the html code box and pasted some html code in it.but when the page comes up the html overlaps the footer image . Is it possible to make it so the footer moves beneath any html code that is displayed?
btw i am a total novice at this so i have would have no clue about css sheets etc.

    any advice is greatly welcomed

    thanks

The only way to do this is via a frame, and frames are very bad for SEO, google (The Boss) hates them.
