transparent background for text

I was wondering how to make a transparent background to my text boxes. When I choose the same color as my background (black) the background black is a bit different from the text background. The page I'm working on isn't what is published. On the page that is published I did create the transparent background. Now when I try to do the same for the black page it isn't giving me the option...

Hi, the color of the text box should be set to automatic, and it will go to the same color as your background for the page. If this has been changed you can right click on the text box and select properties, then choose automatic for the background color.
