Re: Help linking page/form with submit capabilities

    Debbye,

Are you sure that it is not comming through? In the case of my menu page (listed in previous post)- when I select a radio button it simply posts the name given the button. So if i select "hamburgers" it will appear as

    Hamburgers:

in my e-mail. There will not be a check or slash next to it- it will simply post what is selected.

    Andy
PS- I will be on the computer for a while tonight. E-mail me if you get this.

Re: Help linking page/form with submit capabilities

Hi Andy, (Glad to hear from you!)
I'm sure - it's (not) coming thru. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think in your menu page, the reason it came thru was because you used a radio button. And (only) selected i.e., "Hamburgers". I tried using radio buttons, but they won't work in my case, because our customers make more than (1) selection from the groups of foods. i.e., the customer selects 'Hotdogs" then also wants "Hamburgers" (so they select both). The checked Radio Button is then removed from hotdogs and is now on hamburgers. So, whatever they check last is (only) coming thru. This is why I used the Check Boxes instead, but it's (not) working.

Let me know what you figure out - Because I'm sure you will!!!!!

      You're the best!

Re: Help linking page/form with submit capabilities

        Debbye,
Yes I used Radio buttons for each and was able to check multiple
items and each posted to my e-mail.

I did a test page with check boxes and it too posted to my e-mail.

I am at a loss as to why it will not work with yours.

In the form- did you leave the encoding type blank? (instead of the
        default text/plain)

Let me pour over the source code for a moment and I will post back.

Re: Help linking page/form with submit capabilities

          Debbye-

Looking at the source code you do not have a name and/or value for each check box. The only ones that appear to have a name/value are the hotdogs and hamburgers.

          Go back and give a name/value to each. You could use a group name such as "Side dishes" for those check boxes in the sidedishes section and then give individual "Values" to each check box. That way it would post like this in your e-mail;

          Side dishes: Potato Salad
          Side dishes: Fruit Salad
          Side dishes: ***** Crisp

          etc... Just a thought.

I submitted a menu selection via your site. E-mail me back if you need more help or to let me know it worked.

          Andy

            Andy,
            Yee Hah!!!!!
I've gotten the check boxes to work for me (I didn't have them named - that was my problem. Duh!!!). And the Radio Buttons - I was 'group' naming them when I should not have been. So, you were absolutely right! Now I know how to use them both very well!!!!

I'm sure you'll hear back from me.

Thanks so much for all your great help!
Would NEVER have figured it out on my own.

I don't know what Andy had created, since the link no longer works.
However, for a real multipage form, example and tutorial, have a look at the link in the last line of my signature.
