Trouble with link to pdf document.

Hi All, I wish to link to a pdf document.
I have successfully uploaded the document through FTP manager; I created a folder, named it pdf, and placed the pdf file in there. This is where I come amiss; I am unsure what hyperlink address I require in order to map it to the document.
The domain is scothedge.com I have created a sub domain retreat.scothedge.com, the link will be on a page within this sub domain (page is called rates). When I create a text field and then press hyperlink button it gives me several options i.e. http; file I think this is where I am coming unstuck. I tried several variations to no avail. Pdf doc is called rates.pdf

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That is how you should type in your link in the hyper-link box
