How do I add a search button to my website? i.e. for finding specific items on the website not external sites?

I use free find - www.freefind.com and like them a lot. It's free - easy to do (some are terribly difficult) and they send you stats every week about what words people used on your site to search!

there are many ways to get search on a site. when using content management solusions like phpwcms(like used on y site) you can deploy it to search with the click of the button.

Otherwise:
you can get webbot untilities which search your site
