is there any way to add music to a page using the windows media method and NOT have the "click to run an activex control on this web page" box come up

activex control issue is down the settings on your computer you need change your activex settings or check the latest security updates from microsoft.

thanks - i didnt explain myself i realize - i have no problem on my pc nor laptop - it when others go to view the site that the box pops up and frightens them away - any way to stop the box on others comps

Unfortunately not i went on your site and it's ok for me. you could put a warning on your pages saying this site uses activex to injoy the Futures please Activate. but as the popup comes in as soon as the site is found it might be to late. you will find that a lot more people don't see it than do. personaly i would not worry about it to much.
