    spacer?

    hi everyone,

I have a google search box on one of my pages and would like to display the results in my page,
I have a header bar, a footer, and a picture in each corner. I would like the results to appear in the middle of the page and have the footer and bottom two pictures move down accordingly.
What I need to know is HOW?

    Any help would be apprecieated?

    Re: spacer?

Hi, this can be done, but you would be better off dedicating a page to all the Google search results, as Google requires you to nominate a page. I couldn’t get it to work on the same page.
Go to AdSense for search set up to select a search box as you have done,
BUT also select (Open results within my own site [?]) & follow this route.

I was curios about this myself. So made a quick mock up.
Is this the type of thing you are after.

If so post back & I will explain if you’re not sure how to do it..
    Regards Chris.

        Re: spacer?

Hi, you can get the results on the same page if you want. Have had another little play around & got this http://www.collectors-info.com/gs.html
The only thing with where the ads showing on the same page, is the screen is blank in the middle until you do a search. It may look better on another page.
The other part is Google will only let you go to minimum of 500 wide & the length is ?????????????. what ever Google sends in a search. I have tried a few searches & the result seemed to be from 800 long to 1500. So the logo at the bottom is not a good idea unless you can find out the max length.
Maybe 2 small Logo’s either side might solve it.
But all you have to do is follow goggles instructions the same as you have done. But check the (Open results within my own site [?]) box. When you get to the end, Google will give you 2 codes to place on the page in 2 html boxes. The second code can go on the same page or you can make another page & place it on this. If you place it on another page, you will have to say what page when filling out the boxes at Google.

PS. Pinched a couple of your images to experiment with
To get your image to scroll down. Do a Google search for (scrolling image script?)
        This may work http://simplythebest.net/scripts/DHT...cript_112.html
        Regards Chris.

thanks but not what quite what I ment,

when creating a page in photoshop and image ready it will create a spacer this is the used to repeat down the page depending on the size of the content, useful for creating templates for your your wholw site.

it is the same in soho, depending on how much content is on the page the templates will expand to fit it all in.

Nah! Sorry can’t help you with that one; you will need someone to write that for you. Maybe try a new posting with something like auto expanding page. I am not sure but I think you will have problems trying to incorporate the Google part into this.
Oh well, its helped solve a problem for me..

                Good luck.
                Regards Chris.
