    Banner Linking (please help)

Hi thanks for all the support so far.

I have got myself a sponsor for my site, but they asked me the following, and I am a newbie to this. Is this possible and if so how do I do it?

    There question -
    .................................................. ........................................
With regards to the banner itself, is it possible for you to link to a URL
located on my server? That way i can change the banner easily and would
also allow me to have a few rotating banners with all the script changes
happening at my end. As far as the hdworld scripts would be concerned,
having the fixed URL would make it think there's no difference.
    .................................................. ................................

Thanks for any help or am i stuck with just hyperlinking there site to a jpeg picture.

    Re: Banner Linking (please help)

    My banner html has

    <img src="banner.gif">

If yours is the same maybe you could try putting in the full url.

i.e. img src="http://www.hostsite/directories/banner.jpg" and see if that works.

It make take longer for your banners to load from a remote host than if they were on the same server as your site.
    Jim,

      Re: Banner Linking (please help)

Hi, they should give you a link to their site that will look like the link below & all you do is past it into an html box..

      <A HREF="http://www.collectors-info.com" target="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://www.collectors-info.com/banners/banner.jpg" BORDER="1"></A>

You should also make a link for them to use similar to above. (Remember the banner/image must be on your server to work). Change the part in BLUE to your website url & the part in red to your banner/image. & give the code to them to paste onto their site.
      Regards Chris.
