Re: Inline Frame Box vs. Text Area Box

    Thanks Bethers!!

Here is what I am doing. Please comment if it is in the right direction:

    1) created a new "blank" page roughly a little bigger than the dimensions of my I-frame; next,

    2) Inserted a large box with white "background"; next,

    3) inserted WORD paragraphs into each text frame.

Sound correct? If so can I "preview" the finished work or does it have to be published first?

    Thanks

    Danny

Re: Inline Frame Box vs. Text Area Box

      1) create the text page just a little SMALLER (width wise)..length can be anything.

      2) add a text box, the copy/paste some text.
(repeat as often as you like.)

both pages will need to be published to see the finished result.
      Have fun

        Thanks David!

I did just that and it worked like a charm. However, it will only allow me to insert text up to approx. 6900 pixels

Re: Inline Frame Box vs. Text Area Box

You could always break down the length of the text and at the bottom put in a CONTINUE link to the next page of text within your I-frame..............

Re: Inline Frame Box vs. Text Area Box

            Hi David

I have everything setup and have split the pages into two sections by placing a "Continue" button at the bottom of the I-Frame. On the next page, I placed a "Previous" button at the bottom of the page to return the viewer back to the first page.

It would be nice to have the ability to see the process work under "Preview".

Thanks for all your helps as well as the rest of you!!

Just a quick thought, if this text is not for public, that means you will be giving it to a specific people "maybe by password protection or something, If so, why don't you create a pdf file and and put the link for people to open it, then they can read it or download it.

Re: Inline Frame Box vs. Text Area Box

                Hey Nite

                Good question!

First, I don't have Acrobat inwhich to create the PDF and don't really want to spend $600 buying the software and was looking for a cheaper way of doing it: and

Second, I am constantly having to update the WORD file and felt it would be easier to just edit the HTML and upload it when required.

I guess I could have downloaded the 30 day trial and ripped off all my PDF in one shot, but that wouldn't have helped me in the long run with updates.

                Does this all make sense?

Holly has listed a free pdf converter on here also - just do a search for the thread.

It would be the easiest way.

Hey Nite and Bethers, thanks for all your input and assistance on getting this to work for me! (thanks for the offer there Nite as well!)

I pretty much have the all my templates completed and have already converted all my WORD documents into the I-frame as HTML. It was a breeze pasting in all the text and only took me about 15 minutes, not counting the time it took me to create the second page with the help of major general Dave.

All that is left to do is fill in and touch up a few sections and as well I have to create an index page that is password protected.

                      You people have been great!
