    Cached page?

    When my home page loads, a copy of a VERY old version of the page comes up briefly first, and then gets overridden by the current version. Is there any way to prevent this? It looks messy for those few seconds, and can also be misleading because many of the menu buttons have changed.

    Thanks,
    Sandra

    Check your page in BV, Sandra. Just make sure you haven't accidentally left a navigation bar behind everything. You can do this by keep moving objects back until anything that is hiding there appears at the front.

      put this script in the "between head tag" of your pages' html

      <META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache">

        Thanks for the suggestion, Amanda. I checked, and there are no 'hidden' layers. Hmmm...

        Mapillar, will this line of code prevent Google from caching the pages of my site? If so, is that a disadvantage?

        Thanks,

          I'm not sure about that, but if anybody knows, I'd be interested to find this out myself.

          BTW, love you avatar...it's charming.

              No, it will NOT prevent your page being cached by SEs.
