    Still Problems with Rollover Images

    Hello,
I have searched, read, implemented, and experimented with just about every aspect of trying to get the rollover image function to work.
    I have done the following

    Insert
    Extra
    Rollover image
    Clicked on page
    Selected my image (thumbnail 120x140)
    Selected mouseover image (430x600)
    Use original image size
    hit okay

I do have an account. I have published my pages. I have cleared my cookies, my browsers, updated my Javascript program.

In my control panel my directory was set up as

    public index
    images

within the public index was my gallery.

I had the larger images in the images folder. Since it did not work, I changed the larger images to the same folder within public index, gallery.

Now my directory looks somewhat like

    public index
    gallery one
    thumbnails.db
    gallery_one.db
    large image
    large image
    large image

    Images

What am I doing wrong here? Please do not send me to another tutorial. I have watched them all, I have searched all the forums, and have even tried the fantastico gallery stuff, searched for scripts, explored the free online script training (scripts blow my mind).

    Best Regards,
    sparrow

***** has just taken his son to swimming lessons, so your stuck with me. I really
do not know what is going on with your buttons. But if I was to guess I would say
that due too much editing you are experiencing some sort of code conflict on the
server or on your page and that you destroyed the default directory structure.

You can not create directories andd folders and try to be clever with BlueVoda,
it will just bite you. You have to do it exactly as it is defaulted to.

Even if you move one pic out and then bring it back you will break the directory
structure....You are going to have to start over from the very beggining.

    OK.......

    1) Unistall BlueVoda
    2) Go into your "My Documents" and delete the BlueVoda folder.
NOTE: You are going to lose all your work, but its useless anyway because
you destroyed the default directory structure.
    3) Go to My computer >> C: >> Program files and delete the folder that is
    called BlueVoda website builder.

    4) Reboot your computer

    5) Open support ticket and request a account reset. This will flush out the server.

    -----------------------------------------------

    A New Beggining

    1) Reinstall BlueVoda from scratch
    2) Create a new website (do not publish until your account is reset)
    3) DO NOT create any folders ANYWHERE
    4) DO NOT open any Bluevoda folder EVER EVER (Unless you are opening it from within BV.)
    5) DO NOT mess with BlueVodas directory structure...EVER

Please do not change the directory structure. If you do.....The same thing will happen to you again.

    Sarah:)

Sarah, I did do alot of editing, and I do remember pulling a pic out of directory and replacing it. Didn't know I was not to do that.

I did figure out my site by trial and error. I did not do the rollover images, but opted instead to just have a larger pic show up when the thumbnail was clicked upon.

So far so good, so if I am not in trouble I am going to go with it and not delete my voda and start over. I think I am completely done with my site except for updating it as needed.

I do have a question about bandwidth that I will ask in another thread if I don't find the answer in my search.

Thanks a million, your the coolest!

Oh Sarah, by the way, I swear I only messed with files in my public index.

One of the questions I do have is this:

Thru trial and error, I bet I have loaded more images than needed into my public index folder. Am I allowed to delete the unneeded ones when I do a FTP connection?

For instance I have: (somewhat because I am trying to remember)

          public index folder
          index_one_file
image, image, index.bv page, image, etc.

          page_two_file
          image, image, etc.

          image
          image
          image
          image

Is it okay or not to delete any of these that I do not need for my site? Everything is in the public folder as far as I know.
