  • Navigation bar moved

    Hello,
Would someone please look at my site: h-denterprises.com and tell me what I did to cause the navigation bar (menu?) to appear on the right side instead of the left when you click on the "automotive" to "personal care" buttons?

Also, my footer has disappeared on all the category pages.

This happened after I made changes to the navigation bar. I made the same changes to all the buttons......some corrected properly (except for the lack of footers), some are showing on the right.

    I would appreciate any help.

    Thank you,
    Deet

I tried making a new menu but it acts the same. On some pages it is on the left and on others it is on the right.

      Deet,

Did you make a php template? Lock down all the parts after you get them where you want them... then, open the template to create each new page, save as, publish, then open the template again, and repeat process. Looks like you just floated your php menu out, or accidently caught it when you were dragging things wider etc.. and stretched it and it popped over to the right. You dont want to be resizing your navigation/menu and headers etc.. so using a template and locking those pieces will prevent that from happening.

Make sure you didnt call the top piece HEADER, as that really will make nitemares.. Make sure you named it top or something.

                Re: Navigation bar moved

I got 2 of those pages to work so I might be on my way. The last change I made to the menu I did not save as php. I hang my head in shame.:(

I caught it when I went to remake it. All this time wasted. Yours and mine. Arrrghgh. :)

At this point I have to quit until tomorrow.

Thank you so much, Karen. You are an angel and I appreciate you.

                    Re: Navigation bar moved

                    Hi Karen,

Just to let you know I finally got them fixed. That pitchfork prodding my behind helped. :) :)

I finally realized I had to save as and replace the original page. Yes, you told me save as but I wasn't replacing.

Now I find I must not have done the php menu correctly in the first place so that I can make corrections all at one time.

I had the pages opening in a separate window and that is not good. The menu on the categories has them opening in the same page and easier to maneuver around.

I want to make them all (except the Links Page) open in the same window.

                    So, back to work.

                    Thanks again.
