Publishing ERRORS!!

Hi guys,

Im new to all of this and Im having trouble linking my page..
Although Im doing everything right (i think)..

I have gotten my home page up and running but when it comes to linking my pages its just NOT WORKING!!

So, I have saved my linking page as bio.bvp and then when publishing i write http://www.jawsmusic.net/bio.html

Im not sure whats goin on?? I thought it was all meant to be automatic? Am I supposed to create some new folders for these linking pages??

Heres the original page http://www.jawsmusic.net if anyone could please take a look and let me know where I'm going wrong it would be much appreciated!

Hi all your links look fine in the way you have created them. I can only assume the pages are not named or published correctly. IE: have you named this page http://www.jawsmusic.net/bio.html as just bio with no extensions & published it to your public_html area of your sever.

Yes I have saved the page as [bio.bvp] only.

When i go to Publish Web Page I'd do so in Folder as http://www.jawsmusic.net/bio.html

It takes a little while to load, then I get a message saying
'ERROR: 550 Cant change directory to http://www.jawsmusic.net/bio.html: No such file or directory'


But how does one check if, as you put it "is published it to your public_html area of your sever."...? Could that be the reason why?

Hi, you save as bio only and not as bio.bvp. Bluevoda will add the .bvp automatically.

On the publishing part, you must of published to the public_html page as you home page is up & working. All you have to do is publish the bio page and all your others to the same place as you did your index page.

Ok, Im doing everything correct.
Saving as bio only (so that .bvp is automatic) and publishing as http://www.jawsmusic.net/bio.html
and still getting a 550 Error message. I believe I'm doing everything said in tutorials and claimed in other threads.
Still cant find an answer so Ive submitted a ticket to VodaSupport, there could be problems elsewhere out of my reach!!

On the publishing part, it says public_html at the bottom when you publish, right?

I only write public_html when I published my index.bvp or my Home page.
Its up and running www.jawsmusic.net so i must've got it right.

Its linking the other pages (for example: bio, gallery, music, etc.) that's got me clueless...

For everything you are publishing on that site it should read public_html-
It is your root directory, so all pages get published there so your link can 'find' them.

Sorry larazovich, are you saying that when i publish the bio page for example. I should be writing public_html-http://www.jawsmusic.net/bio.html (???)

Maybe I should be asking, where should it read or how can i write in public_html??

I am sorry, I should have been more clear.

When you have made your page, and you click on the publish button, a box pops up where you select your IP address, enter your user name and password, and select a folder to publish to. In that folder space, it should read public_html

Your page is saved as bio, right (also no caps or spaces)? and then BV added the .bvp?
Just like your home page was saved as index, and BV added the .bvp, right?

Some times it is hard to figure out what's going on, but usually a step by step review process helps..well, that, and patience..LOL
