    Pumping up site traffic...

Just discovered how to view site statistics with the cPanel
Web/FTP Stats button - very cool. I've had over 8000 hits
since putting my site up last year but it looks like most of my
visitors did not discover the site through a search engine.

Can some of you veterans out there give me a list of things
I should do to get more out of the SEs. I especially want to
be noticed by people searching for a place to stay on a Greek
island and there is a lot of competition in this area.

    Thanks in advance,
    Marcie

      Zuriatman,
I think it is completely inappropriate to be directed to 'step 3' on your site which advertises solutions for a fee. This is a forum not a market place.

I too was disappointed that a fee is involved. This is not the appropriate place to hawk your wares. The moderators need to more aggressively address this issue.

          Marcie,
I think I was working with you on this on another thread. It's best to keep all of this together on one thread - than spreading it into many - so we aren't duplicating ourselves. I'm happy to continue to help - but not by jumping around, thread to thread.

          :)

Beth, very first thread started here and then moved when no one replied and I saw there was a more appropriate place for the topic. BUT came back here when I saw someone had posted - that's when I ran into zuriatman and got furious for being jerked around and sent to his site for more paid advise. I really hope moderators crack done on this sort of thing.

Thanks for your offer of more help; I'll resume after Christmas but have a better idea of what's needed next after rereading your e-book.

            Season's greetings,

His reputation precedes him for the most part, based on his "help" being more often confusing or erroneous than workable (despite assumed good intentions, it may be his English limitations). And, since I already have the falsely earned reputation of being a "Forum Cop" and recently made great strides on dissolving from VodaTalk, it leaves the ones that do have the ability to reign things in a bit somewhat unprepared to know how to deal with things. Sorry!

You're right - I pass on offers like Zuriatman also -however many on the forum - including Vasili above, offer to help - sometimes free - often for a cost - so it's hard to police some over others.

That said, Marcie, have a great holiday - and I'll look forward to working with you more after!
