      Ok i copyed the cute news folder to the other server and they are still in php files now what?

        Jackie,

        They will always be PHP files. PHP is a programming language that dynamically creates the html code necessary to display the page in your browser. What you need to do is pull up the install file in your web browser from the location on your server. The URL will be something like:

        your site/directory name/install.php

        I think for cutenews it was an index.php file. It's in the instructions that were included in the zip files for the program. When you access the PHP file it will execute the code to start the setup process for your news program.

          yer im already up to that but when i clicked open the index file its ment to open in a browser but it opened in notepad

              Jackie,

              If you've copied the folder to your website then you need to be accessing the folder through your web browser like it was a website. It sounds to me like you tried to open the file on your local system.
