  • BlueVoda 9.22 question

I'm not sure what happened! I wanted to get the latest BV (9.22), so I downloaded it and installed, assuming it would overwrite the version I already had on the computer, (9.1.0).

It went thru the process as tho' it was installing (9.22) and when it was done, there were two BV icons on my desktop. Both of them still brought in the old version, (9.1.0)!

So, I went into the program list and there was only one BV listing. I selected "uninstall" and it ask me if I was sure that I wanted to uninstall BV (9.22) and all it's components!

Now I'm really confused! In the BV "Help" menu, "About BlueVoda" it still says it's (9.1.0)!

Do I have (9.22 or 9.1.0) installed? Anyone ever see this happen?

    1) uninstall
    2) re-download
    3) re-install

When I uninstall BlueVoda; will it delete all the BV files and images that I have created?

        Re: BlueVoda 9.22 question

For other Newbies, like myself, that might want to know the results of this problem; here it is:

        1. Not receiving answer about "deleting" present files; I went to the "BlueVoda" folder and "renamed it "MYSITE". (This being my attempt to protect my present BV files).
        2. Uninstalled BlueVoda.
        3. Downloaded new version (9.22) BV.
        4. Installed new version BV.
        5. It created a new "BlueVoda" folder, with no website files in it, of course.
        6. I renamed that folder "SITE"; just incase I had to have it later!
        7. I then renamed the original BV folder back to "BlueVoda", and when I try to open one of my original website files......wah-la; it worked!
        8. HOWEVER, in the BV help/About BlueVoda; it still says that the version is 9.1.0!
        10. My problem or yours Mr. VodaHost?
        11. If my problem; your suggestion to fix?
