Item does not exist?

I have a strange problem. I'm cleaning up my webspace and reloading everything,just to get rid of old dead files. There are about 15 files that will not delete. They are photo's. Everytime I try to delete them, I get an error saying that the file does not exist. Yet if I go directly to that link on the my internet space, I can view the pic. I am using blueftp to delete the files.
Any ideas?

Hi, have you tried doing this in c panel.?

Some times certain files have strange names that crack in BlueFTP. Try deleteing them through File Manager in CP, as Chris suggested.
