Re: How to set up a second website using bluevoda

Thanks for the suggestions...I will give those a try. If I wanted to add blue voda to another computer, what would be the most effective way to take blue voda from my laptop (vista) and put in on my desktop (xp)? I wasn't sure if m OS version would make a difference with BV. Thanks.

Carbon Terry, well I tried to figure out how to upload to the lower case genewizeMLMsecrets directory, but I can't seem to conceptualize how to do it. I have been simply hitting the publish button and of course, it publishes it to the same location....which isn't working. When I go into the file manager, I simply don't feel comfortable trying things when i don't know what really to do. Any help is appreciated.

about 30 seconds after I hit the send button, a light went off....duh. So I simply typed in the public_html, etc with all lower case and what do you know.. It published and it seems to be working. Do me a favor...could you go to the cite from your computer to make sure it is working? http://www.GenewizeMLMsecrets.com It should start off with a video of me talking about the company. Thanks.

Re: How to set up a second website using bluevoda

CT, thanks for your help. One thing I have noticed, is once you figure one thing out, another question pops up.. Here goes. On my index page I have a contact form from my autoresponder company getresponse. It works just fine. However, here is what I want to do, and am having trouble figuring out how to do it. I want an interested visitor to give me their name, email, phone number of course, and then I want them to go directly to page 2. HOWEVER, I don't want to give them the link to page 2 until they furnish me their information. I've tried a few different methods with confirmation url's etc, but I would actually prefer NOT to have a confirmation url, simply have the visitor taken to page 2. Any ideas? thanks

Re: How to set up a second website using bluevoda

Make Page 2 your confirmation URL. As soon as the form is successfully sumitted your confirmation URL would be www.yourwebsite.com/page2.html
That could be somewhat confusing to the customer as they may not understand whether their submission was successful.

Hi Carbon Terry and Lady Eye, back at it again. I am making a third website. I went through all the steps but not publishing . My other two websites have been published, with your help, and are still up and running. My first question...this new website will have the .info ending instead of .com. Is that ok? Or do I need to formulate a .com url?

BTW, when I push the publish button, Blue Voda does confirm that the page was published. When I attempt to find it online, I get the IE error page, can't be found. Here is the link. http://www.GlobalResortsNetworkVacations.info I know, it is a mouthful.. I may eventually get a shorter one and then just forward it to this one, but for the time being this is what I have.

Re: How to set up a second website using bluevoda

Here is what I have done so far.

                    1. Went to the webhosting company and changed the nameservers to NS1.voda25.com and NS2.voda25.com . I have checked and they are changed over.

                    2. Went to documents folder in vista and created folder globalresortsnetworkvacations

                    3. Have created 3 pages so far index.bvp grnpage2.bvp and grnpage3.bvp and saved them in the folder created in step2.

                    4. When I publish them I publish to
                    public_html/GlobalResortsNetworkVacations.info

                    5. Did I miss something?

Re: How to set up a second website using bluevoda

Do you have a BlueVoda folder inswide the documents folder. there should be one by default. Not that it matters but it is far easier to keep track of multiple websites if they are in their own folder inside the BlueVoda folder.
Page names: index, grnpage2, grnpage3. Are you adding the .bvp or is the software adding it? You CANNOT add it. If you add it will be index.bvp.bvp beacuse the software will add another .bvp (probably)
So...re-save your index page as " index " nothing else.
Publish and then check to see if it is live.

no that is not my page. I have the everything in the documents folder to keep track of the multiple websites. I did NOT add bvp, the software did it.

I resaved the index.bvp as index and clicked yes to overwrite it. Then uploaded. Uploaded successfully, but when I went to link it still gives me IE error can't find page.

Not sure what else to do..Seems like I did everything like the last time.. Anything in the control panel that I should check

Have you looked at the addon domain folder in your Cpanel?
                                What is it's name...... exactly
I believe on one of your earlier domains we had success publishing to a folder without the extension?
