finished page to code / back to front

Sort of like putting the cart before the horse.

Hi everybody, seen a lot of interesting pages of people having problems. I like some of the graphics and banners or logos I have seen but I have no idea to do the same.

Is there a simple way to load a finished page or its code into BV to see its properties and how its layout was created.

The tutorials are great but a bit short at times and tend not to expand on all the options.

I like the idea of using a image in a banner but when I have tried to stretch it it was no longer a recognizable image.

Are there any tutorials that are more detailed or specialized.
I have watched the tutorial on logos ...does not really give you any help. Some of them are like teaching a person to drive by telling...the insert the key, start the engine, put in drive & drive. (oh you do not have an automatic???)

You can view source... but.. as far as your image.. you need to create it or have it created in the size you need. Generally about 800x200 or slighly smaller to fit across the top of a web page.

I think thats what you are referring to as a banner.

Yes, but what I´m refering to is someone elses page...to see how it was set up, which menu type or link or template they used. Did they use a table or just placed a text box next to a image on a background.

You can import their page from html.. but other than that no
Its alot of work...and why would you want to steal someone elses work? If i caught you going after mine or reproducing mine.. id be setting your mail box on fire if not your phone.

My intention is not to steal the work but learn how they achieved the result, to learn how to do it.
