Let me put it this way...without Vodahost, Santa Claus would have missed our house this year!

There are many on this forum who will give of their time for a very reasonable rate. Go to http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/vod...eelancers.html to start with, I can personally vouch for any of these people!

P.S. Ya ain't the only deaf one here, so no limit there, my friend!

          Okay...my OPINION...get it?...my opinion....
tap-it-in.com should be the domain name. Your homestead builder leaves a lot to desired. For instance, it is hard to do the initial part of search engine optimization for a site that does not have the keywords in the domain name. Search engine optimization is critical for traffic. There are right ways and wrong ways to do S E O. It is easy to waylaid by gurus and end up hurting your site, if you do not follow the guidelines for "whitehat" seo. If you are so gungho about the template for homestead that you have, check the soholaunch templates out...they are nice and are more flexible than your site is now.

Here is the metatag analysis of your site as is:
And this is from a free tool posted on Davidundalicia's site, (forum member and moderator)

          Meta tags analysis.
          Title: Title is non informative.
This title 'Home' is a potentially placeholder and non informative. As result of that those titles shall be ignored by the most search engines. Title relevancy to page content is terrible.
The Title relevancy to page content is 0%.
Description: Description meta tag is too short.
This tag contain 19 characters. This is too short for what we would consider a 'robot friendly' description. The minimum number of characters we recommend for this tag is 50.
Description meta tag relevancy to page content is good.
The Description meta tag relevancy to page content is 67%.
Keywords: Keywords meta tag relevancy to page content is poor.
The keywords meta tag relevancy to page content is 43%.

I feel that you could be more personal on your site and more sports related. The template that you have chosen is not sports-friendly, in my opinion (IMO). With Soho or BV, you can make it more sportsy*...(* if that could even be a word...LOL) and more user-friendly to your visitors. Your photos load really slow and I am on broadband, so this is bad. You will get loads of info on the best practices here.

It is my opinion that, given a free rein, which you won't get from homestead, you could have a dynamic site that accomplishes all of your desires with Vodahost. But you will have plan it out...homestead lets you throw it up there...and you will have to make decisions on what will best convey your purpose.

All in all, it is up to you...have a host who limits you or have a host who helps you. Mind you my brief synopsis is all you will get because you do not have a Vodahost account!

Re: Making all the page same?

Wow.. you did your research on my website.. I have done this and it was a good site to begin with but with the domain name was suppose to be for the deaf website so I didnt want to waste the money on that domain name. The tag part is what I didnt do much because I wanted to keep it within with the players to look into with the update status. There are several pages that ARE not done with and because of that the team fell apart so I stopped fixing it up till next year 2009 which I will be on another team and change it to another name. You are right about HOME as it was Tap it in before and I took that out and I set up a password so no one gets to see it.. I Undo the password so you can see it and now I will put the password back up.. Like I said I would love to change it to the way it suppose to be on the vodahost site. Most of the players likes the set up of the website but you say that soho or BV can do better or it has a better one to make it sportsy!!!

Re: Making all the page same?

I really didn't do that much, but with what this forum and the members have taught me I was able to convey as much.

It all depends on what you expect from a builder...if you just want to enter content or page names and go, then Soholaunch is good for you. If you want to set up the page and navigation yourself, then BV is the way to go. If you would like a consultation on what would work best for your needs...I.E. you got a list and need advice...then submit a ticket, Or ask a freelancer on Vodahost; they will not steer you wrong.
