Auto start of video can't be disabled

I have tried to embed videos on my website, flash, quicktime, wmv, and every one plays automatically when the page opens, even though I've cleared the autostart option. This result happens in Firefox and with IE.
I could not find this answer on the forum anywhere.
    Thanks
    Larry

Hi ... I noticed you are saying embedded ... if this is the case instead try inserting your media file via the correct media icon .. (that is if you have it and not just the code) ... also .. have you republished this page after unticking the autostart?? and have you saved the changes before publishing?

Post the url to the webpage in question and we shall take a look for you ..

Ok it's now posted at http://unityofdavis.org/messages.html
It's the video on the right which is a quicktime format. The video now starts when you doubleclik on it and stops when you click again, but where are the controls, to stop, pause, rew and ff???
      Thanks

        Hi Revlry
your player controls are there you just have to enlarge the Quicktime box to the size of the video which we make out to be about width 480 height 375 this will then show your video as seen HERE.

You might also consider converting your .mov video to .wmv ( windows movie video ) or Flash as these are more likely to be installed on your viewers PC.

Ok I see how to get the controls visible now.

I still have a media player audio that plays automatically. It's on the left sife of the page http://unityofdavis.org/what_is_unity.html

Any suggestions. I actually started from scratch and still got the same result.
