Your hosting package come with statistics built in, you just have to login to your cpanel. It will give you information like how many unique visitors you get, total hits, geographical location, etc.
If you were just wanting a hit counter there are many sites that will keep track of it, you just have to copy and paste some code onto your pages.

You can also find a stats script and install it on your website, but the stats built into your account will be better then almost any you can install yourself.
